The Church of Sant’Andrea Apostolo was most likely built during the time of the Counts of Profoglio, Lords of Valsantangelo, between the 12th and 13th centuries, in the Gothic style. In 1533, a stone tabernacle carved in bas-relief was created, which is still present on the wall behind the main altar. In 1639, the stone baptismal font was made. On one face of the bell tower, a fragment of a noble coat of arms engraved in stone is embedded.
At the beginning of the 20th century, the ancient church was modified into its current structure. However, traces of its Gothic origin remain visible: some narrow windows and especially the pointed arch that forms the second entrance. During the 1997 earthquake, frescoes were discovered beneath detached plaster, evidence of ancient popular devotion, and have now been restored. A painting of the Addolorata (Our Lady of Sorrows) is the work of Orazio Orazi (19th century).
Following another earthquake that struck the area in 2016, the church has been declared unsafe.
