“Cesare Lami Angelucci” Multi-purpose Center
Details
Comune di Muccia
Variabili a seconda delle mostre o eventi.
The construction of the Multipurpose Center combines architectural and structural elements designed according to highly innovative standards and the most modern anti-seismic technologies. It is not a prefabricated structure, but a newly built facility with a low environmental impact, developed with full consideration of the surrounding landscape and aimed at its enhancement.
Regarding the timeline, the procedure involves the allocation of an area selected by the local municipality on which the building will be constructed. Subsequently, the schedule will align with the necessary administrative procedures and the timeframe established by the construction company selected to carry out the work.
Rebuild to innovate
Following its hands-on experience in the areas affected by the earthquake, the Italian Red Cross has developed a long-term intervention strategy aimed at fostering local development. This approach comes to life through the services offered by Multi-purpose Centers located across the four Central Italian regions impacted by the quake.
The post-emergency phase is seen not just as a time for rebuilding, but as a unique opportunity to create a living laboratory—where reconstruction goes hand-in-hand with participatory planning. These centers aim to bring together social, economic, and developmental goals, encouraging innovation in both processes and services.
The Community Center is designed to be a dynamic hub for community growth and innovation.
A place where ideas come to life, it inspires local initiatives and fosters networks that bring people and projects together. Visitors will find spaces dedicated to knowledge-sharing and collaboration, where diverse experiences are valued and exchanged.
Managed by the Local Committees of the Italian Red Cross, the center also offers informative and engaging training activities for both residents and tourists, especially on earthquake preparedness.
In times of emergency, it stands as a trusted point of reference for the entire region.
