Famiglia Zaccarini Bonelli

The Church of Santa Maria in Via di Maddalena was commissioned by Cardinal Angelo Giori as the chapel for his residence, Villa La Maddalena. The Cardinal had also built the Church of Santa Maria in Via in Camerino, to which he was very devoted, and he named the precious and beautiful chapel of his villa in its honor.

Constructed between the 17th and 18th centuries, the building features a small semicircular nave with modest decorations in a late 19th-century rural style.

It has a stone altar, a vaulted apse, simple stuccoes, and a single, compact nave—an ideal setting for intimate services or private devotion.
